Crap – I hit a deer with my van. And I was in the city!

Well – sometimes crappy things happen and it is usually when you least expect it.
I was just coming out of the city of Lethbridge Alberta heading west towards home.

All of a sudden two large deer jumped out of the ditch on the drivers side. One got past us but the other one ran into the front drivers side of the car. Total damage – $3700.

Fortunately this is a comprehensive claim and it is covered by insurance – except the $250 deductible. Here are some pictures. I took these with my phone so the quality isn’t the best. It’s hard to believe this little bit of damage will cost $3700. Click on the images for a bigger view.

    It was killed.
    I reported to the police and a crew went over to clean it up.

    well it’s unfortunate the Deer had to loose it’s life for this event, and gladly not to much vissable dammage or loss of life within the veicle, but certianly sad for the animal
